Inter Faith Week 2010
Inter Faith Week 2010 will take place across England and Wales from Sunday 21 to Saturday 27 November.
The aims of the Week are: to strengthen good inter faith relations at all levels; to increase awareness of the different and distinct faith communities in the UK, in particular celebrating and building on the contribution which their members make to their neighbourhoods and to wider society; and to increase understanding between people of religious and non-religious belief. It is hoped that faith communities across the country will take part, alongside schools, colleges, universities, local authorities, health care organisations and many more. Read more

Faithnetsouthwest's Targeted Support Project - Increasing Participation
Faithnetsouthwest has funding for a new project aimed at increasing the participation in the community of young people aged 16-25, and people from BME communities. The project will highlight existing good practice and the role of faith groups in promoting and empowering these groups to participate more in activities both locally and at a strategic level. Vital Role for Faith Communities in Bath and North East Somerset
Bath and North East Somerset Faith Forum, supported by Faithnetsouthwest, has just carried out a faith audit (survey) of the community work of faith groups in its area. Its report, Faith Action Audit 2010, has found that faith based groups and organisations play a vital role in the community life of Bath and North East Somerset. Throughout the district some 5,300 volunteers contribute about 5,600hours of community based activity a week – estimated to be worth £3,600,000 a year. Read more
